Chanelle Moisson

Counselling Intern

A Note From Chanelle

Hi! I’m Chanelle!

If you found me here, I’m guessing you might be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or unsure of how to move forward. You may be used to holding a lot on your own, without much space to sort through it. Therapy offers a chance to pause, reflect, and begin to understand yourself in a different way.

As an intern counsellor, I’m here to get to know you so we can work towards your goals together. I offer a warm, compassionate, and client-centred space where you can show up just as you are. I don’t see my role as fixing or directing, but as supporting you in making sense of what you’re going through and helping you reconnect with yourself in a way that feels steady and manageable.

My approach is relational, integrative, and trauma-informed. I draw from person-centred therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic-based practices, and I tailor our work to your unique needs. Together, we can gently explore patterns, connect with different parts of yourself, and build awareness of your internal experiences at a pace that feels safe. Over time, this work can support you in feeling more grounded, developing tools for emotional regulation, and strengthening your sense of identity and self-trust.

My background includes supporting individuals in community-based settings, including crisis support and anti-violence work. I have a particular interest in working with trauma, emotional regulation, and relational patterns, and I strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered in your healing.

Outside of the counselling space, I find a sense of ease in spending time in nature, especially exploring Vancouver Island with my dog. I also enjoy running, playing tennis, and quiet moments of reading or being with people I care about.

If this resonates, I’d be honoured to connect and support you in taking that first step.
